How does one correctly understand and interpret the Bible? What principles, and methods help us in this most important and sacred task? What is the historical-grammatical-interpretation of Scripture and how do types of literary genres play in all of this? In this course we will consider these and other matters, including a survey of the history of Bible interpretation throughout the centuries, the inductive Bible study method, figures of speech, and special hermeneutical considerations. This class will teach you crucial matters concerning exegesis and will give you the tools necessary to faithfully proclaim, explain, and apply God’s glorious Word to yourself and to others.
