In this course, we will study what theologians have called “Redemption Applied”: the various dimensions of God’s saving work in sinners. We will consider biblical concepts such as union with Christ, regeneration, effectual calling, faith, repentance, justification, adoption, sanctification, and perseverance. Each one of these concepts will be rooted in Scripture, defended against error, connected to other doctrines, and opened up in its many practical ramifications. By taking this class, you should come to a deeper appreciation of God’s work of salvation and be more equipped to proclaim God’s glorious gospel to others.
